Today is our 1-month birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! My weight at 1 month is 8.5 pounds. Boy am I growing BIG. I will be a GREAT Dane any day now, only 111.5 pounds more to go. We all have started scooting around our little room pretty good. Our dog-mom has begun bringing visitors to see us. Both dog-visitors and human-visitors. One of the dog-visitors is named Uncle Parker. I like him because he licked me. I can't wait to grow up and be his friend. Uncle Parker is a really GREAT Great Dane. I sensed a calm and assured manner and he must have traveled much and had many great adventures to be so self-assured. I can't wait to hear his stories. I also sensed that Uncle Parker picked me out for a reason. He looked at all of us pups, but he licked only me. I wonder why he picked me? When I grow up, I want to go out on great adventures with Uncle Parker. Maybe tomorrow.
Speaking of great adventures. Today our human-mom showed us the third world. It is called OUTSIDE. It was very scary!
That warm bright thing was above us. There was lots of colors too. Greens and blues and browns. The OUTSIDE third-world was surrounded by really high rock walls. Some strange invisible force was moving my fur around and making other things move too. And it smelled... different. I don't know. There were so many smells swirling around. It was overwhelming. I sniffed and sniffed, so many new smells that I couldn't identify. And other dogs too. Uncle Parker was there. I ran over to him so he could protect me. He was a little grumbly. He said his leg hurt and I should leave him alone. So I sat close by him and tried to be real quiet. Another human approached us. It was a human-dad. He knelt down in front of Uncle Parker, held Uncle Parker's head and they just looked at each other. There were no words, just the look. I sensed a very strong bond of love and respect between the human-dad and Uncle Parker. That they could communicate with just a look was awesome. I wanted to ask Uncle Parker about some of his great adventures, but I didn't want to interrupt them. The human-dad stood up and walked away. Uncle Parker followed him. Then our human-mom took us back inside our second world, then put us inside our little first world. I didn't mind. Big adventures are very tiring, so I went to sleep.
Moving day. Our whole world just changed. We are moving to a new world. When I woke up from my nap I had a big suprise. Our human-mom showed us a new bed, called a CRATE. We were in a different - BIGGER world now, but each of us would have a small crate just to ourselves. They are very small and we will sleep separated from each other. Our dog-mom explained that the place where we were born is a special place and many humans use it too. A special human was coming for a visit and he needed that world. So we were moving into the "Big House" where everyone usually stayed. This was very exciting. Now we are where the action is. Lots of new sounds and smells. And TWO more dogs. They are named Grandma Quiver and Uncle Justin. They are more friendly than Uncle Parker. I guess maybe their legs don't hurt. Our human-mom spends a lot more time in our new world tapping on something on top of the table. I don't know what it is but she sure likes doing it a lot.
