Non-Refundable Deposits

DEPOSITS – Deposits are accepted AFTER the application is approved. By putting down a deposit on this puppy, the buyer understands that they are COMMITTING to this puppy, and that this deposit is therefore non-refundable. However, the buyer also understands that the deposit does not GUARANTEE them a puppy - there are many ways that can end up in there not being a puppy for every committed home, including the possibility that there is not a puppy in this litter that suits your particular needs and household. If there is no puppy for a particular buyer, this deposit will be returned.

PICKS - By putting down a deposit on this puppy, the buyer understands that there is no "first, second, third, etc." pick, and that the Breeder AND puppy buyer will make the decision on which puppy goes to which home -- IN ORDER OF DEPOSIT ACCEPTED. Von Bonehenge takes a great deal of pride in our dogs and their puppies. We love them very much and want their new families to love them as we love ours, so we do everything we can to ensure that the right puppy goes to the right family. Thus, picks are determined by lead dog testing @ 6 weeks, puppy aptitude testing & puppy temperament testing @ 7 weeks, structural analysis @ 8 weeks, and finally by the order we received the deposit. We work with you to match the puppy to the best possible home. If two puppies rate basically the same on testing/analysis, the buyer can choose between. But, for instance, we will not place a soft or shy puppy in an energetic household with teenagers, or a high-energy puppy in a home with very young children. It would not be in the best interests of the puppy. Or the buyer.

REFUNDS – The seller has a right to cancel this contract at any time before puppy pick-up (with return of deposit), if seller deems circumstances are warranted. If puppy is paid in full when seller cancels the contract, seller will return purchase price including deposit. This refund is only applicable if seller cancels this contract. You understand that the deposit is a commitment to buying a puppy and is not refundable if the buyer changes his mind. There are several reasons for this, such as the fact that other potential families may not put a deposit down because of the number of reservations ahead of them. When a buyer backs out, there are also typically additional expenses incurred in seeking out a replacement home and caring for the puppy in the mean time. For these and other reasons, there will be no refund of the deposit if buyer backs out of their commitment to the puppy. If buyer should back out after paying the full purchase price, they will receive a refund of the price MINUS the deposit.

BALANCE of PURCHASE PRICE - The balance of the purchase price is due by the time the puppy is 7 weeks of age. For puppies without a deposit that are purchased after 7 weeks of age, payment of deposit AND balance of purchase price is required at the time of reservation. Puppies must be paid for in advance.

A puppy is not sold until FULL PAYMENT is received by the breeder.
