Sherron Higham-Trejo, bought her first Great Dane in 1969.She wanted a large gentle breed to raise with her children. In 1972, Sherron purchased her first show quality harlequin from Eva Robinson, Riverwood Great Danes. At the age of 10 month this puppy bitch took a 5-point major at the very prestigious Southern California Great Dane Specialty, going BOS and Best Puppy. This win ensured a life-time commitment to breeding and showing harlequin Great Danes.

During her early years of showing and breeding, Sherrons Great Danes where known under her first kennel  prefix "Treana Great Danes". She changed it later to show and breed under the name of "Fleckenhaus Great Danes".

Sherron lived in Tucson, AZ with her husband Pete. They both enjoy breeding and owner handling at the shows. Sherron was a single parent during most of her hobby years, so campaigning dogs was not always possible. However, all but 2 of her dogs where pointed and most of them major pointed.

Sherron was member and officer of the Tucson Great Dane Club since 1976 and also a member of the Great Dane Club of America.; as such; she always adhere to the Breeders Code and Color Code of Ethics.

Sadly Sherron Higham-Trejo passed away on October 8th, 2006. We will continue her breeding program and the use of the stud dog for as long as we can. Sherron left behind a legacy of breeding wonderful show and companion dogs. She will be missed by so many off us.
